A pair was advertised for 1,200 for a long time, still a couple of weeks ago... dunno if anybody bought them, the ad has disappeared. Currently nothing even approaching a four digit price seems to move over here...

I always thought so too, but then noticed that Beocentral lists the effective tip mass of MMC1 as 0.25 g, vs the 0.3 grams of MMC2. I have no idea which property, smaller ETM or hand picking, would provide a bigger audible difference though!

Pinging doesn't tell much as both servers apparently have been configured to not reply to it. But yes, the forum server has lately been slower to respond here as well.

Programming the radio presets will need some tricks and be highly annoying with only a Beo4 at hand, but after that it'll be just fine for daily use. You'll be able to use everything except the timers. MCP5000 would be totally useless in this context, it only works with Beomaster 5000.
