Beofan2: I was told today that, probably, BV8 and BV7 will be launched with new larger screens. BV8 - 40 and BV7 - 52. BC6 -23 will be discontinued. Personally, I doubt I'd like to see a BV7-52 (LCD) screen as my current BV7-40 MKIII already struggles with SD, particularly fast-moving SD. Increase the size of the screen further and this would be

Bouncer: Hang on. Mine is 9333 so it should be MKIII? But my BV7-32 only has 1 DVI input making it MKII? I am confused now. There is a massive difference between the BV7-40 MKII and the MKIII. It has a completely new chassis, 1080p panel and 4 HDMI ports. There is little difference between the BV7-32 MKII and MKIII. I think the panel was updated and

Puncher: I think the point is that, as you say, most folk.. Most = majority. How many people have Sky? Less than 4 million homes? I know more people who *don't* have Sky or cable than do. Mainly as most apartments are rented. Most folk still watch either analogue or digital/Freeview in the UK. Ratio must be something like 80:20.

sinuhe: How can I tell if it is mkI or II?? If dealer offers a "demo" version of a BV7-32 which has been in the shop for some time (2yrs?), how can I tell if it is mkI or mkII? If you search the forum you'll find this info - it's all to do with the TV reference codes. Also, the dealer should know if it's a MKI or MKII BV7-32.

sinuhe: Hi, what is the difference and how can I tell what version a particular BV7 is? When was the upgrade done? One big difference is the quality of the panel. The MKII had an updated panel that was significantly brighter and with a higher contrast ratio. The only reason I was aware of this was when my MKI went in for repair - two years after purchase

Chrisreunion: The product page for BeoLab 4000 (with ICE amps) still hasn't been updated, so the new BV4 might be updated...next year? There hasn' t even been a press release in the PR section. More bizarre than that, the last time I checked, the 'new' BV7-40 specs still referred to the old MKII, with a 768 screen. Not entirely sure

355f: There is simply NO excuse for B&O not to build DVB into the set My argument was that the PCB required for this would be tiny. At the very least, it could be a modular option. It's not was if they'd need much space in the TV to accommodate a Freeview DVB-T. 335F is right though. One of the best elements of a B&O is the lack of cables

darioazul: The blacks are not as deep but are very nice and dark. The blacks are exceptionally deep for an LCD. They bear no comparison to the blacks on my old BV7-32 MKI. Saw Narnia on Sky 1 HD the other night and was astonished. I think that has to be the most flawless and most stunning picture I've seen, so far. As I've mentioned on here

Daniel: Why should people watching cable or satellite pay for a DVD-T? 20+ is not an age for a BeoVision. I don´t believe we´ll use the same tuners in 2030. This is a bizarre comment on multiple fronts. B&O are proactively promoting the B&O to the general public in the UK, particularly through various websites. Secondly, Freeview

taplow: There are plans to have an integrated digital tuner in this set , but not available currently. We're very aware that you can connect an external DVB-T box. Snag is a) it's a £3000 TV and b) why the additional hassle? You see?
