You can set your alarm and turn off the phone before you go to sleep, and when the alarm wakes you in the morning it also powers up the rest of the phone. I have always done this, and haven't tried it with this option switched off, but i'm guessing that just the alarm works and then the phone is kept switched off.

8ft?! Wow you may want to move the couch back a bit if your considering a screen any larger than 32". Larger screens are for larger rooms.

The rounded frame of the BV9 should have been kept sharp like on the BV5, and the lens should have been covered some how, because it is ugly IMHO.

Hi, I don't particularly like the look of the BeoVision 9 and it is too big for me. I know it is an absolute cracker of a telly, but i'm simply after the good old fashioned B&O form of the BV5.

I absolutely adore the design of this television. In my opinion, nothing compares. Bang & Olufsen decided to replace it rather than keep it in the range. They keep speakers in the range for decades. I want to know their rationale for axing this product, because in my opinion it is one of the only televisions that they have designed which is as aesthetically

The TV you are using obviously does not have a volume controlled line out. The BeoLab 3's have amplifiers built in but with no volume control, so you need to get a pre amplifier and connect the BeoLabs to a volume controlled line out.
