Peter : Frede is restoring my system. If you get the best B&O system, you need the best restorer! At some point this year Frede will be getting my Beomaster 1000 to work his magic on. When I e-mailed him for a quote I had just change my e-mail address. Accidently gave him my old one, so when he could not send a reply he took the time to phone me

Dave Moulton: The speakers that David Lewis got were the first B&O prototypes that combined the acoustic lenses with Adaptive Bass Control. They were the Truly Ugly Monstrosities! But they sure did the job! Best regards, Is this the one that looks like a washing machine on wheels? just tried searching for a pictue but gave up. Seem to remeber one

Very sorry to hear about your bad experience with your Beocom 4, I think you have just been unlucky. Had my Beocom 4 for 2 years now and it was purchased used from Lifestyle AV. It works perfectly every time and I have never had any of the issues you mention. If I were you I would ask your dealer to exchange it for a new one. Craig

Craig: Very sad to see that Planet Rock is going off the air. Just hope it is still available via the internet. As it is one of my favourite stations. Craig Just had a look at the Planet Rock website, and found THIS . Does not look good. Would not mind if it was just on DAB radio it was finishing as I listen to it on the Net mainly and also via Cable

Chris, I believe it does require datalink. Cannot find it in the products section though. Craig

Listening to Hammerfall - Crimson Tide. Very 80's style metal IMO, even though it was recorded about 5 years ago. Don't know much else about the group other than they come from Sweden I believe. Craig

What about a Powerlink one. Pretty sure I have seen these on Ebay from time to time. Although it has 8 pins, the 7 you require are in the same places. Craig

RussR: The first thing to try when members of this family 'lock up' is to carefully inspect the buttons on the front face. It is possible for a button to get 'hung up' in a slightly depressed position, and this will cause the device to get confused. look carefully from the side, or top, and check that all buttons are the same height
