I imagine the black anodised finish was scratched and the owner then removed the rest of the black.
Hm - I don't think you can just remove the anodised finish. It's not like paint you can remove. As far as I know when they anodise aluminum the color gets into the aluminum. I think that the most B&O

I agree with U all. IMO it's important to keep the vintage B&O systems "alive and kicking". If you have a 5000/5500/6500/7000 system, it looks best with all 4 units -and the 4500 looks best with Beomaster, Beogram CD and Beocord next to each other (not just BM and BGCD). And ofcourse it's most fun if everything is fully functional
Just one further thought: would a requirement to display a 'Powered by B&O' logo have been to B&Os benefit or detriment on the non B&O products using ICEpower? Graham
Would be nice to see a "Powered by B&O" logo on those products -Like the "Intel inside" label on

The DVD1 was really disappointing to me too -mostly because of the design. At a time when DVD players were getting smaller and slimmer B&O made this big box, based on the design of their VHS recorder Would have been great if B&O had made a DVD player that was to the DVD player market what the VX-series was to VHS recorders back then; A really

Oh dear. The settings on my Beomaster 8000 are: Bass +3, Treble +5 and Loudness ON. Sometimes I even switch in a Cona from the Speaker 2 outlets... Does this mean I'm cloth-eared?
Whew! I'm not alone! My Beomaster 4500 is presently set to bass +2, treble +5, I leave

No B&O owners would want to swap out their BL5's for those ugly boxes. The BL5 looks and sounds better. The owner have probably heard a pair of BL5's after he'd bought those B&W -and realised what a mistake he had made Too bad for him...
