I think Steve at Sounds Heavenly (one of this site's sponsors) can provide you with a datalink to datalink phono pre-amp. It should be the best solution and will offer datalink control of the RX through your beomaster.

The cd50 should work without problems ....it does with my beomaster 6500. I think the RX2 will need a phono pre-amp. The beomaster usually don't have these built in and I don't think the TX2 has one build in either.
I always had a soft spot for the Lo tek, designed by the late Benno Premsela in 1982.
Indeed a beautiful light fixture.... almost bought one of these a couple of years ago. Now that I live in Canada, it's just prohibitively expensive to buy here.

If I had the time I would have stripped my old 80's beocord 5500 of its interior and build my mac mini media center and hard drive into it... also a little dac and an irtrans. I have since sold the 5500 system and moved up to a 7000 system with a fully functional tape deck, needless to say I never got to it. Now it's just a jumble mess of wires
I always thought that if I did have outrageous amounts of money I'd be unsure which to buy. B&O is better looking but then Linn is top quality sound, if you can afford it. A friend of mine actually worked for them briefly over a summer. If you're spending that kind of money though then you want the 'dream

This one for it's versatility ... I have one in my office and it has shape-shifted a couple of times. Also great and really exotic looking when you use a colored bulb in it... This one is a true classic and I have a couple of those around the house. For me as Iconic as a barcelona chair or anything by Le Corbusier.

Hi Evman, Glad to read your opinion on the single/twin cona's.
Personally i think you should stop being so fair and stop publishing these threads that start even more criticism. Its your site, you're the moderator - just ban these people. You're a good guy - full support. Cheers Russ
I fully agree with Russ here ... couldn't have said it better.

The beo4 will work. I know for sure the early ones do. I use the BL1000 as it's way easier and faster in daily use.

Nothing to add to that...... job well done guys Keep up the good work !!
