• Re: Lintronic UK Seller
Looking at the price of the Lintronic device - I'm thinking of just pushing the boat out and going Beo5/6.
That's a valid point. I don't really have any first hand experience with programming either, but one problem with using a Beo4 (or earlier) for controlling 3rd party devices is that the button

Actually the volume kind of works - it just feels like there's a mile of rubber band in between and then it jumps in large increments. This is because the MCP refuses to send more commands until it has gotten a reply to the previous one, or timed out waiting which takes a couple of seconds. I guess you could get past this faking "BM6500"
A further thought regarding two-way remotes: I wonder if you could use the Lintronic box to control a BC9500 with a MCP5500 (or 5000, or 6500 for that matter).
One last thing...Can you get a good bit of volume out of these?
I would say surprisingly much for that size & form factor. But they aren't any disco PA speakers - keep the level sane, you don't want to burn them!
Might need the drivers' surrounds replaced if they have foam rot. Still worth it though.
Not a problem in 60.2, they have rubber surrounds. Definitely a good buy unless they look horrible externally. But prepare for additional cost if you want to keep them anywhere else than on the floor. The stands don't

  • Re: Speakers will have RJ45 sockets instead of DIN from January
I'm sure I'll get a myriad of posts about this, but I have to ask - what's the point?
I don't know what the point is from B&O's point of view, but I see it immensely easier and cheaper for everyone if you can use all the existing RJ45 installation hardware and even house wiring instead of

  • Re: beocenter 8500 fm antenna

You need an FM antenna terminated into a female IEC plug. Just a length of wire will get you going if you can find a loose plug somewhere, or perhaps bastardize a TV aerial interconnect cable. Read more at the antenna FAQ .
