I'm also interested in hearing from those that have a BV-8 as I'm considering purchasing one, too. If someone writes a small review, or at least offers an opinion on the quality of this set, I'd appreciate some insight in to a specific question that I asked B&O and couldn't get a good answer, nor could I gleam the answer from reading

jk1002, Thank you for your advice. Your point about setting up a larger B&O screen for my young ones is a very valid one. For the record, I'm not so wealthy that I can afford to indulge my children in high-end European A/V equipment; the reason I'd wanted a bigger B&O TV in the kids' room was so that the wife and I could use it,

Dear Gang, I need some help. I'm trying to find a B&O solution to my flat panel needs, but I'm finding B&O's flat panel TVs a little exorbitant price-wise and a little behind the times technology-wise. Here's my dilemma: I'm trying to get away from cable TV (I live in the USA) and move toward getting my media via the Apple

I need some advice about flat panels, 355f appears to know his stuff, and I thought the rest of you guys might benefit from our discourse. 355f, I've been waiting to purchase two flat panel TVs for some time now, but I keep waiting for some things to be upgraded in the B&O line before pushing the button on a purchase. I'm gradually getting

I rarely rejoice in hearing that someone has lost their job, and I certainly wish TB well. I obviously don't know the reason that he was let go, but the discussion that it has prompted has brought up some points that many of us have been trumpeting for a while (even on the old forum), and, as such, is a timely discussion. I, therefore, couldn't

Interesting article. Torben sounds like a cool guy (heck, he drives a M5 and boats with a beer - what's not to like?). After reading this article, I'm really interested to see what B&O is going to do with the BeoSound 5. It almost sounds like they're going to set up a Kaliedescape-like system ( http://www.kaleidescape.com/ ) that incorporates

B&O needs Apple. Here's a potential future course for Apple (may never happen but the person writing this is a very well informed and smart tech writer): http://www.roughlydrafted.com/2007/12/29/ten-big-predictions-for-apple-in-2008/

(*Disclaimer: I am an "Apple Fan Boy" who feels B&O is choosing poorly by overly aligning themselves with Microsoft. I also feel that B&O should leave the software to Apple and concentrate on giving us great hardware rather than working on "in house" software that has the potential to prove non-compatible with the most popular

Thank you Bill. It's really just a repost of a letter that I spent a few weeks molding together a couple of years ago. I never sent it to Mr. Sorensen as I just felt too stupid doing so. However, a few months ago, when one of our fellow BeoWorlders was meeting with Mr. Sorensen, I decided to post it here in the forums for the first time in hopes

One other thing: like "Maclife" insinuated, as a loyal Apple user this will make it very hard for me to invest in B&O equipment. In the coming year, I am planning on purchasing a BV7, the replacement to the BV4, an additional BeoSystem 3 and possibly some BL5s. I won't do this if there isn't a solution for integrating these items
