For an AV 5 with a broken tube I'm looking for info on the following: the AV 5 is fitted with the picture tube A59ESF002X11 (Philips), a known troublemaker.... Now to replace this one, B&O supplies a new tube and a modification kit (to adapt the electronics to the new tube specs). Is there anyone out here who knows what's the new type of

Thanks Martin, i agree with you that the colour stripe cloth looks strange on it, doesn't go well with the 2 silver bars, actually i was hoping you'd seen more of those (master38) so that would clear it up, which it did. Just one small thing more on the Master 38 (probably Martin knows..:).): on the site of Jan Thogersen there's a pic of this one but with a kind of rainbow coloured stripe speaker cloth, while mine has just 'cream' colour plain speakercloth. Which one is original or could both be original ?

Hi, i have diagrams and stuff, the old type (T81xx) Avants are btw remarkeably alike MX chassis. Before 'digging in deep' it sounds like you have a short circuit somewhere on the secondary side of the power supply which makes the voltage drop. My first suggestion would be to check the HT transistor (and capacitors/diodes around it) for short

Because i have an Avant in for repair with a bit of a strange 'disease' i'd like to know if anyone can give me the value of the 'Ham' setting in the service/geometry menu, so i have an indication. The picture of this Avant is a few cms too small, which (according to the owner) happened after it 'dropped out' a few times.

@Blak: don't worry, there's nothing 'unfortunate' about not being Dutch :):)....(at least, it doesn't help with this issue) @Martin: If only you have the diagram already would be nice, i'd like a copy if possible since i would be surprised if mine is working (and i haven't seen any diagram inside).
