Let me know if you are struggling to find the software ... I have dozens of chassis here ... I am sure one must have what you are looking for. Neil

Interesting discussion ... how about software from a two way MX4000? Surely this would work?! Neil

? why do we think no? the frequency is different and not approved for use in the UK as its the wrong band ... but as long as it matches the base unit ... it will communicate ... i would have thought that the only issue is the wired connection to the system and I believe that to be ok. Neil

Or you could send it to Graham for repair ;)

Other possible sources of this problem are failing line output transformer and problems with the PAL generation board ... I have seen all three, but I have to admit that I would start as ipaul suggests. Neil

I have a couple of these available if anyone is interested. Neil

Actually, there is no additional module to interpret the BL1000 codes ... its a different version of the software in the processor. The backup battery is a 2 cell 2.4V NiCad. You will need a soldering iron to replace ... but make sure you are correctly advised on procedures for working on TVs. Neil

The software should be on the back of the TV, but if someone has swapped the cover this might not help. On the Beo4, try the following ... Press -> Menu Press -> 0 Press -> 0 Press -> Go Neil

Have seen similar problems before and it was the caps around the vertical deflection chip ... maybe worth checking ... also might be worth looking at the pal decoder board ... had one of these at fault last week. Neil
