Yes, you are right, via Scart (to record on a vcr) there should be an audio out-signal. But for Dolby Surround sound you need a digital/coax out. Maybe a work-around could be to "grab" the stero signal via scart and create some pseudo 5.1 signal via the avr... Ralf PS: Edited, because the VCR gets the sound data via tv signal.... as far as

Reading your post again - if you just want the sound of the tv (using the INTERNAL tuner of the tv) - no chance! The tv does not have an audio out.... My earlier explanations are onyl valid if you use a set top box and/or dvd etc. Ralf

Ok, some explanations for Audio Video Reciever. szenario #1: an AVR is used as a central hub for audio and video signals. You can attach all your dvd, bluray, games console etc. to it (the AVR). The AVR needs a monitor (TV) to show the pictures and speakers to reproduce the sound. szenario #2: the AVR is just used to provide the surround sound. You

S-Video + RCA Audio to Scart should do the trick. Ralf

  • Re: Beovision LX 6000

TV (mit Fuss) Wert ungefähr = Wert der Fernbedienung... max. 50 Euro. SAT Reciever wird analog sein, d.h. ab nächstem Jahr kein Empfang mehr. Röhren TVs sind fast unverkäuftlich. Ebenso schwierig mit VCRs, mit VIEL(!) Glück 30 - 50 Euro. MfG Ralf

  • Re: Avant 28¨ or AV-5 ..Which one to pick…?

I would take the Avant BUT wait for an RF version to show up... Avant = 16:9/15:9 picture, now that (at least over here) this is standard broadcast. And it is an icon ;-) Additional info on the forum somewhere: "BeoVision 1 - Bulletproof.. never had a tube fail in all my time. Incredibly reliable. BeoCenter 1 - Tube bulletproof, DVD Mech flaky

  • Re: Beolab 5000 speakers

Well, what is even worse: people will fall over the cables... As I see it, it was just a test of where to put the speakers (they are ON the chairs...). I am sure, Andreas will hang them WAY higher. Ralf
