I use a 20 Watts per channel Beolab 1700 amplifier in my study and never needed to increase the volume as far as half way when I connected a pair of S45-2's to it. Simon

Only just caught up with this thread. Congratulations to Jaff for finding such a horrible hi-fi. I don't think I will ever fully recover from seeing the Barbie iPod dock though, a truly gruesome bit of kit! Simon

I once found an abandoned wasps nest in a (non-B&O) valve radio. Simon

Welcome to Beoworld! Martin (username Dillen) is a user on this forum so you just need to look him up and send him a personal message (called 'start a conversation') and he will reply to you, you pay him via payypal and the capacitors arrive in the post a few days later along with instructions. [/quote] CAT is a reference to CAT5 which is one of the ways that techie types refer

The other pair were in my study upstairs and I was looking for a pair osf stands, but I have now replaced them with a refoamed pair of CX100's for space reasons. They don't sound as good but can be placed either

Lifestyle-av sold a pair a couple of months ago, they only fetched about £10, partly because I forgot to bid! They do not come up very often, especially sold separately. Your best bet would be to keep an eye out on eBay for a pair with stands and resell the resulting spare pair as the stands never seem to add much to the finishing price of the
