Been ripping the 10 CDs we gave each other for Christmas, but we have not started listening yet - fabric selector's are David Hobson (unknown to Apple, and uploaded into iCloud) and Kathryn Jenkins. Hi Thomas, the name "powerlink" fooled me to when I first came across it. So no, it does *not* supply the electrical power needed by the ICE amps inside the active speakers; so you will still need to separate power cords. What the powerlink cable does do, is switch the active speakers from standby mode (their little eyes (sorry LEDs) are glowing

B&O stuff is usually well protected - the green/red light goes amber if there has been an issue. But why take unnecessary chances? Treat them with care and they will last a decade or two.

Several half answers I am afraid, once Europe wakes up I am sure there will be more. 1/ many frequenters of the forum recommend acquiring an external DAC (Cambridge is usually mentioned) to (a) get away from motherboatrd etc interference and (b) employ a superior DAC. 2/ I was not familar with the 8002's connections so I checked B&O's Technical

After some 12~18 months I moved the Beolab 11 from the BV8 to the BS4 in the other room where it is now in series/daisy-chain with a pair of BeoLab 6000s The BL6Ks never sounded sweeter than they do now -- playing all sorts of classical music and falling n love all over again.
