I'd try the obvious first. Flip the power cable, change it, disconnect powerlink, ML....failing those options... Dont think they swap the internals out on these anymore, if it's under warranty it would be a replacement or out of warranty a new box.. Beoaus.

You are quite right. A Beolink Active will do and a masterlink cable to the box.... I think Beolink Video works only with B&O TV's.. Beoaus.

B&O have paid significant attention to what we now call "Green" methods. I have had this discussion myself. The PR blurb link is a poor representation of what they have actually done. Crap is a better word ... Then again they never have been the most detailed communicators have they? Beoaus...

If the Avant is a later model (from about 1999+) you can turn the modulator to ON. If not, there maybe a software upgrade for it. goodl uck beoaus.

Not sure which BV740 you bought... In my case a BL2 was necessary. The BL1's should perform better through a BV740 but they do not. beoaus.
