Beo6 will use IR just like the Beo5 for all current Beovisions and Beosounds. In addition it will connect using WIFI to the Beomaster 5 (if they release a software update) and Beosound 5 encore to display the album art and navigate through the music library on the remote itself. The design is a matter of taste. I quite like the look of it. But I never use my Beo5 because: it is always out of battery, it doesn't do much more than the my Beo4 except showing a few icons. But in term of features, I do not see what is missing in this new Beo6. The 2 way communication, which is something that B&O pioneered, then abandonned

Thanks for the feedback. There has been a news that Beoworld will be upgraded to a new version soon. This is very likely to break the Beoworld App, and I will probable have to re-write a big part of it to get it to work with the new system. I won't be touching the App until this upgrade happens, but will try and take into account the feedback at

The user guides were not available this morning. Now they need to update the Beomaster 5 user guide accordingly... oh... and push a software update!

You can see the screen is thinner and the + and zone buttons now seem to be in the screen, rather than printed onto the screen. No mention of WIFI. Strange...

Some have complained that iTunes 10 has a very bad sound. In LinkPlayer, have you tried using "LinkMusic" instead of "iTunes"? p.
