Depends on the number a size of cables used. A 2cm expansion gap should be fine if it is only for PowerLink cables. Why not rebate the joists slightly so the cables sit lower than the floor? Jonnie

They will also blend in nicely with the rest of the decor and not become a focal point. Unless of course you want them to be such, The steel bars will be great in black
