Yes but the Beo5/Lintronic will cost A LOT more and cost you hours and hours of setup time. Just for a remote....

I looked into this extensively before I purchased my BS1, and the only issue you will have is the potential for the rear surrounds to click on and off during quiet times of the movie. I have discussed personally this question with someone who has a relatively cheap DENON receiver with pre-outs and it works fine for them. Yes, the pre-outs on the surround

The more I look and read about this, the more it makes me want to get a BL2. First, I have a 12 y/o boy and how do I explain this explicit speaker!!! Seriously though the tech specs aren't impressive. Only goes down to 33Hz? Relatively anemic compared to the BL2. I can see it adding some punch to music and a little bit of boom to movies with my

So is there any advantage other than being wall-mountable for this over the BL2? One can get a used BL2 for cheaper than the BL11 now....Power rating for the BL2 seems to blow this one out of the water! The more I see of the BL11 I'm not so sure I like the design...seems to be a little bit too anatomical right now.

Thanks for the link...actually I was hoping for an actual photo rather than a drawing.

Is there a picture of it wall-mounted anywhere?

You will need something to do the audio processing for surround sound as the BC9500 is stereo only obviously
