Hmmh.... That's a good news, but it brings a lot of questions... - Will existing Beo5 magically become 2 way with software upgrade? (that would mean the 2 way hardware is already present). - None of the existing TV, Hifi has an IR emitter, so, how will 2 way work?? Wifi from the BM5 maybe?? p.
Exactly
.... because this afternoon I placed an order for a BV7-40D ... (100Hz, Blu-ray, BD Live)
What a coincidence you feel valued! Hope you enjoy the TV. I am sure you will. Sometimes things just don't make sense in life; B&O increasing their prices for mediocre products in the middle of a recession is one

To make everyone's life easier, especially moxxey's, Ill bring a van and collect them all at once. This way you just need to deal with me ;)
How about the BL5s and BV7-40 for £3800? My address is forthcoming...
I'll take them off you for that now Chris

I also owned the BeoSound 2300 in the 90s and it was definitely called the BeoSound 2300 not a BeoCentre or a BeoSystem. It had CD and radio with the red digital display, the glass sliding doors and the small CD clamper. I bought it from Kingston upon Thames dealership then traded it in several years later at another. I am quite certain they did change

I have just counted and there are 64 CDs. I had about 100 more before but I copied them to iTunes then sold them on Amazon a couple of years ago so I could still get something back before CDs become redundant to the digital world. The one's I have kept are my favorites and they will used on the BeoSound 9000, BeoSound Century and in the car! Simon

Well I certainly won't be paying any of the prices mentioned so far! I think I'll hang on until the Mark V and then, possibly, consider a trade in! £3,000, unbelievable. The Mark III is only 1 year old! Who would accept such a big loss? Even for £2,000 I wouldn't do it. Guess that means I am stuck with my Mark III. Probably best

If the price was £600 or thereabouts I might be interested.

I can't wait to see if there are notable differences when watching standard definition on the two sets.
I honestly don't think that will be any better. Indeed, it might be worse! LCD panels show every flaw 'as is' so we might see an even more improved HD
-
I think there are a few of us asking the same question, especially regarding the model you mention. I know the DVD module can be replaced for a newer Bluray module. Software updates are continually being released but to what extent they will actually improve picture quality, I don't know. I suspect version IV will have a newer Samsung LCD panel

Are there more things improved or only the panel??
By 'panel' I mean the TV unit (not the stand, speaker and so on). Who knows if the LCD screen will be improved, over and above the 100Hz feature.
So what price are we looking at for this 'little' exchange
