• Re: Help with Tuning Beomaster 7000 with MCP 5500

Yes, the MCP5500 manual is there (not a very good scan, but quite readable). You have to do a little "applied reading" when mixing and matching the systems, since the different Beomasters apparently have small differences in their operation - the manual obviously discusses it in the context of a Beosystem 5500. 5500/6500/7000 are all very

  • Re: Help with Tuning Beomaster 7000 with MCP 5500

Welcome to forum! To tune to a specific frequency, press "goto" and then input the frequency. After that, give the Beomaster a little time to actually tune before getting anxious and pressing something else. Input all digits, i.e 104 MHz needs to be keyed in as 1040. To search, first press "goto" and then use "< step"

  • Re: How far away can a beogram be from the receiver?

Datalink should not be a problem (although 15 ft / 5 m is getting a bit far), it's the audio signal. Line level audio would travel that relatively well, but since in your case the RIAA preamp is at the receiver, the audio that is carried over the cable is at a much lower level. The recommended one meter is no hard limit - longer runs will probably

  • Re: Purchased Penta 2 - got Penta 1

Bummer, I hate it when something like that happens While waiting for the dealer to reply, you have good time to calmly think it over: Would you be happy with Mk.1's? If you still have that BC9000, these would be easier to connect, but the lack of Powerlink may annoy you later if you upgrade the rest of the system The displays aren't quite as

  • Re: Beomaster 5000 problem

Do you get the red standby dot? If not, the worst case scenario is that the CPU was damaged by static electricity or some kind of voltage spike when you played with the connectors. The BM5000 unfortunately has very little internal protection for this. If this happened, the only way to fix it is to get a new processor chip (or preferably the complete

  • Re: 46-inch BeoVision 10-46 coming
2000 EUR more is a bit pricey in my opinion. The step from 40-inch to 46-inch (in picture size) is not huge.
Not huge - but if you think of it as surface area, it is +33%. The panel itself may be quite a bit more expensive.

  • Re: Grounding my Beogram 6002
my DIN cable connection between the Beogram and the Beocenter is a new one. So the problem is perhaps located at the DIN connector of the Beogram (when I use my old Beomaster 2400, the problem is the same).
It is possible that the ground is loose in the DIN socket of the Beogram, but not very probable... Are you

  • Re: Lighting Solution Help please
What about those halogen bulbs, will they be fine to dimm with LC2?
Dimming is fine for the bulb, but I'm not 100% sure whether the LC2 will like it - the manual says to only use it with normal incandescent bulbs. However, the 230V halogen bulbs are electrically a very similar, resistive load, just with
