  • Re: ouverture doors

The doors are not supposed to touch and 2mm gap is normal/small. I would not recommend pushing the doors together as above. The sliding tracks do wear out and on one of this age they could probably not be at their best. It will never be as quiet as your BS4 as there are more moving parts to consider. Not a difficult job to replace the tracks and instructions

  • Re: BeoCenter 9300/9500

All of the 9000 series had the same transit screw system. In my experience the screws are mostly found in the assigned storage holes. If you are collecting in person and transporting home on the back seat of the car then there is generally no need to put the screws in the transit position. If the unit is travelling in the courier system then it is vital

  • Re: Used BeoSound 9000 - Good Deal?

Perish the thought that I should disagree with Lee but here are a couple of thoughts from me! I am very firmly in the "if it aint broke then don't fix it" camp. The cost of replacing the cd drive is not so much and I would take a chance. "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth". If it all works then the system sounds like a

  • Re: BeoCenter 9300/9500

Courier delivery, even in the official B&O box and packaging, is not 100% successful. The glass panels have been known to break and I have had one of the sliding doors jump out of the track in transit. Having said that, I must have couriered 30-40 units by now with at least 80% success even for those travelling abroad. My recomendation however,

  • Re: DVD1 freezing

Agree with Alex, this is not a region coding problem. Sounds like a problem with the reflectivity of different media. I have used DVD-R on DVD1's with no problem but only after cleaning the laser lens. In fact I have made a number of DVD1's rise from the dead by performing this relatively simple task!

  • Re: Beolink Active Wiring diagram

The IR eye socket is 7 pin din. Replacement cable complete with pre wired plug is available from your dealer. It's special cable (low impedance I guess). 15 metre in white with plug pre wired is around £20 My dealer has just ordered one for me so I will soon have the part number for you. Remind me!!!

  • Re: A new B&O owner (beocenter 9500)

i seem to have missed the beginning of this thread somehow. My apologies! For info that I gave re lubrication see this http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/74869/ShowThread.aspx#74869 Re Amplifier not working on one channel......... My guess would be the mute relay, a very common fault. The way to check is to plug your spkrs into the Spkr2 sockets. These

  • Re: BeoCenter 9300 CD Player failed

The first thing it does is look for focus. If not found then no spin. Look at the laser track in the cd compartment. Radial laser moves on a curved track. Linear laser moves in a straight line running left/right. The service manual contains a test procedure for the cd system. Your service agent will be able to test it.

  • Re: New BV7-40 MKIII synopsis

Puncher: Just as well the BV7 is not expensive!! This whole flat panel lark is for the birds until HD broadcasting is the norm rather than the exception - SKY HD channels can be counted on one hand ( and they don't broadcast 24/7). How many folk really spend the majority of their viewing time watching dvd content? I can't imagine spending umpty

  • Re: New BV7-40 MKIII synopsis

I have heard a rumour that B&O will shortly launch a new flat screen television that is aimed at the great unwashed majority of people who want to watch broadcast material. You know what I mean......news, current affairs, sport and general entertainment for families rather than those weird individuals who seem to spend so much of their time engaged
