Shows what's going to happen when the iPhone is released. Changes the whole interface equation for mobile devices. BTW - my hunch that there would be album cover scroll came through - that's going to be a wonderful way of surfing one's iTunes library on a dedicated server with all the files in full resolution! http://www.apple.com/iphone

cozza: Thanks for that info, Ignace. Soundproof, You could do it either way, I would prefer to avoid modifying the captive lead on the CD player. Yes, doing that is near sacrilege. On the other hand, I will part ways with my Beosystem 7000/6500 when they pry it from my cold, dead hands ... Is the colour code for the wiring in the cable known for each

The very reliable person who is responsible for keeping my Mac-addiction going (they have made a fortune off me over the years) tells me that things are quite up in the air in Europe as far as the iPhone is concerned, with no markets having a confirmed carrier. 29th of June is the release date in the US. Fourth quarter 2007 in Europe, though my supplier

B&O could never match the iPhone, as they don't have the Apple platform to work from. Remember, it's OSX inside that little unit, not a slimmed down mobile phone operating system. Apple are planning to sell four million this year, and eight million next year. I suspect demand will be far beyond that. BTW - to your list in the first post

Thanks - yes, was kind of confused there. Found the right one originally, then I linked to the wrong one! BTW - wondering whether I couldn't just cut through the insulation of the cable from the Beogram, isolate the wires carrying the line out, snip those, terminate the ones going from the player, and then connecting my DAC line out to the wires

Yes, I had a look there. Wanted to be certain I had the right one. This one?

Any chance of anyone having the wiring diagram for the DIN plug on a Beogram CD 6500? And to those more knowledgeable than I am on these units: Is it safe to run line-level analog audio from my Benchmark DAC-1 to the PHONO IN on a Beomaster 7000?
-
Ah, reviving this post. I have just acquired a rather phenomenal looking Beogram 4000, which will need a new cartridge, and I would definitely be willing to pay a fair premium for the privilege!

That's very smart, Mr Cozza. I'll unearth my soldering iron - and attempt to avoid frying my amp.

jk1002: I saw that one. It might be they discontinue the mini as we know it but do some sort of upgrade to make it more media center like ... that they leave that tiny computer segment open entirely I would not think ...... It really depends on where they are going with the Macs - particularly the portable ones. I am using a MacBook Pro as a media center
