  • Re: Beosound 3 radio tuner stereo or mono?

And of course 'distortion free' at full volume because of the use of ICE Power! All you get is dynamic compression, rather than the normal fuzzy distortion which sounds terrible on other portable systems.

  • Re: Beosound 6 Portable Mp3 Player

I guess you've missed all the threads in the past about them then! I'm looking forward to seeing the BeoSound 6, as it's an important piece of kit for B&O, but I'm not sure it's going to be quite as special as the BeoSound 2.

  • Re: Beosound 3 radio tuner stereo or mono?

Can't say I've compared them directly, but logic would say one higher quality speaker/amp would sound better than two lower quality ones! Also, the Bose wave system is not true stereo, the left hand channel doesn't reproduce any bass, and the right hand channel produces very little treble. Cheap and dirty quick option to make a vaguely good sound, although

  • Re: B&W 800D

Not as well built or designed as BeoLab 5s, but they really do sound stunning. A good match is Naim power amps. Timing like you've never heard! Very musical! All in all though, once you really spend as much as you should on amps and room treatment etc... it can get more than twice as expensive as a pair of BeoLab 5s, which while it will sound very different

  • Re: OPERATION ANGLES

I've found the BeoLink 1000 to still be very good when it comes to directionality. I can use it from anywhere in my room pointing in any direction, and it always works.

  • Re: BS4+BL4+LCD Setup and sub?

If you can afford the 8000s, then go for them! They really do sound fantastic when set up correctly. Of course they are some of the most beautiful speakers yet made. When it comes to setting them up, we'll give you a hand in how to place them correctly. They tend to be a bit boomy if you place them incorrectly. However when you do get them as they should

There's nothing stopping you from just placing them on the sideboard, but there are some little feet you can get for the 4000s which sit them at a slight angle.

  • Re: New iMac?

The NXT speakers won't sound anywhere near as good as what's in there at the moment. They've got two 24 watt digital amps driving a pair of speakers which fire down onto the surface under the iMac and back up to where you are sitting. They sound very very good! Of course the BeoCenter 6 is better finished, and it should be for the price! The iMac is

  • Re: Big up BeoWorld!

Looks like B&O weren't all too happy about that article! Oh well, I'm sure t won't affect the site overall.

  • Re: BV 7 without centre speaker??

Yes, it will work absolutely fine. You need to connect them to the PowerLink outputs on the left hand side of the BeoVision, not the outputs on the right hand side where the the surround sound outputs are, and tell the BeoVision that they're a BeoLab 7-1 or 7-2.
