burantek, I have already set in stone my aquisition of the BL5000 panels, I just don't have them yet, I've never seen the display on them operate. My intentions of this 2 way IR endeavor was purely out of curiosity, the BL7000 is pretty much the last thing I would do, its pretty cool and all, but highly expensive and unecessary. This stereo

Well Alex, I cant say I agree more with what you said about the volume control, I have the same opinion. However I was unaware of the dock option and its signal quality. I'm gonna have to borrow one or something and try it out.

mbee, Well toying around with my system last night, I experimented for a whille and found that most, if not all of the problem was just some poor Yamaha speakers. Once I turned those off and left it to my primary JBLs it was pretty good. I think I'm just going to retire those speakers. P.S. - B&O iPod dock? this is the first I've heard of

burantek, Well I have a solution to getting a track time display, it would be through a pair of BL5000 panels, if I'm not misinformed. I will be getting them soon. But that works out well due to my inspection of my BM4500 last night, where I found out that mine has S/W 1.6. Oh well, but its probably for the best, as I wont spend more cash on something

Oh. So when was this ver 2.1 software standard equipment?
-
Well let me ask you this, is using iTunes part of the problem?
-
Beolab1, Is that the same sticker that says the type number and production year?
-
mbee, I have just started using my iPod on my BM4500 and I am some what dissapointed, even when listening to the iTunes+ 256kbps files. My dissapointment lies in the signal to noise ratio, much like you mentioned. When I listen to my iPod, it is connected through a mini to RCA cable that connects to a Din-4 connector then is outputted from my BM4500
-
VANTAGE, How would you be able to tell if an itunes track/file has lossless?
-
Well thank you for the speedy reply. So how would I know if my BM has SW 2.1 or higher?
