Following the above meeting on the Wednesday we were invited to a Melbourne Symphony Orchestra string quartet hosted by the Armadale store. It was a great evening of listening to live music and speakig to the conductor, artists and the sponsorship manager of the MSO. We received a "show bag" at the end of a B&O CD, 6 CDs from the MSO,

Great summary. I have to say I was blown away by the project, my summary was "this is as good as looking at a 35mm slide projection" - the clarity - the brightness - the contrast. The test movie (via a PS3 blu-ray) that we saw (we missed the ones mentioned) was "The Golden Compass" - Sue was blown away with the detail of the fabrics

Great Event ! Thanks so much for organising it. Good to catch up with everyone after being away for two years; great product demonstration; and a very interesting talk at the end. Well done mate ! I tried squeezing two second hand laptops into a beocord 5000 (my pics are on the old defunct site) but sadly: 1/ I fried one of the laptops, and 2/ the second one kept overheating in the enclosure which then sent the mp3 replay into a loop - sort of like a stuck record (lol) A beogram would offer the ventilation you need ! Never got anywhere with the powerlink, so I bought an old fashioned jackplug splitter and cables ... I tried the jackplug from the masked OUTPUT port at the back of the Beoport and that had hum ... not as bad as the powerlink though I then moved the jackplug directly to my PC bypassing the Beoport ... no hum! Looks like I do have an old Beoport although
