I personally wouldn't bother with this lot if it's B&O you're looking to collect. The only piece of B&O that I can spot is what looks like a beocord 2000 perched on the top. Even in full running condition it won't be worth a great deal. Chris.

Excellent news and many congratulations Now's the time to start setting some pre-nuptial rules, I'll give you the first one for free:- Rule number 1 - I will never sell my B&O to make room for shoes or clothes Chris.

9 LEE: She's been going strong since 1952 and has never put a foot wrong Except for marrying that National Embarrassment Philip. (No OBE for me now I suspect ) Chris.

My brother in law has one of the BOSE systems mentioned and it is very good at doing what it was designed for. I agree with previous post though - the BS1 is better in terms of build quality & materials used. The design is also on a different level in my opinion but I know there are people out there who would disagree with this. Chris.

Hmm....... you don't have a spare one by any chance do you? Oh - and a football manager would be nice too Chris.

A strange beast and qute rare by all accounts. It was basically a cross between the beomasters 1900 & 2400 and only released in the UK if I remember correctly. It doesn't have remote control though so my personal choice for ease of use would be the 2400 , although I would own one myself simply for its rarity value. Nice amp though and a design

From what I remember from previous posts Graham, it isn't a straightforward tube swap as there are all sorts of set - up issues to take into account. Unless someone can find a cheaper option then buying a good RF (real flat screen) used one 2nd hand works out cheaper than replacing the tube. I'm certainly no expert so I could be proved wrong

Hi Nick and welcome to Beoworld Connection is via the Tape input and phono/din adaptor leads are readily available from any decent electronics supplier (such as Maplins in the UK). If you are intent on using both your cassette & CD then your best bet is to aquire a CD/Tape adaptor - see this thread. Not particularly easy to find though, but saves

It would allow you to connect more than one auxilliary piece of equipment to a single input - eg a CD player & 2nd tape deck to the tape 2 socket. Very useful if you have a vintage beomaster pre - cd manufacture. Chris.
