That's the year the actual design was released, not the year of manufacture. If you give me the first 4 digits of the serial number - i will give you an indictation of it's real age! Lee

If it has a good cartridge, and the lid is in excellent condition, these can start sneaking up to the (equivalent) $1000 mark !!! If the voice is distorted, you may have an issue with the cartridge - or you may even have it connected to an amplifier with an RIAA already inbuilt. Thank goodness we have Soundproof to tell us how it is!! I'm currently 'watching' a DAB module for my E60 (5 Series) on ebay... ummm, i think i'll leave the bidding for now! Not sure how much the BBC have invested in DAB, but shouldn't they have known it was flawed then? Lee

Not sure a Video Master could trigger an Audio Slave to perform a 'wake up call' - but if it can be done, i'm sure someone on here knows!! Anybody?! Lee

I know both Peter and Soundproof are a bit clever** when it comes to Apple - and we do have plenty of other Apple-Genius's on here.. (not sure what the plural of genius is.. sorry!) Anyone have any ideas on this? Lee ** = whizzes actually..

Heard this today and pondered on it too... I think the huge lack of the Automotive Industry not embracing DAB has had a huge impact. Most people listen to radio in their cars for the main... Lee

It could be the button pad.. ? I must go through about 850+ Beo4's a year, and i'd say i have around 10 of those that have this fault. Not a bad ratio, but it's possible it's the problem with yours. Lee
