tom: You are right, but it is important not to forget that BL5 is the only speaker in the B&O range that uses the digital out form BS9000 (or BC2). For all the others, the digital out is useless. Correct, though with a modification: you can run the digital out signal to a stand-alone DAC, and then run the analog out from that to your BeoLab speakers

Keith Saunders: OK if you need to keep using that word, just write it in full once. Hmmm - what does OK stand for? I don't understand!

http://www.cooldrives.com/almiposa25in.html You probably didn't see the links to the enclosures then, in the article, such as the one above?

Well, this is the best one I've seen. But it requires a bit of work, nicely explained how you go about, though: http://www.zonageek.com/blog/archivos/2007/04/23-121420.php

jandyt: We were all blown away by the performance of the Beolab/master5000 and their associated speakers. However, what I haven't mentioned before is the other speakers he demonstrated the same system with. They were slim panel type speakers but on stands and they didn't have conventional drivers in them! I think they were called electro-static

However, as Beoberlin points out, you do reduce the cooling some, which means that the fan will kick in - and that can be noisy. I wake up the Mac using the Apple remote or my mobile phone (which has Salling Clicker installed). It also works with keyboards/standalone mice

matheyl: Does not B&O produce the clickwheels of Apple Ipods? That's what my retailer told me when presenting the Beosound 3... Cheers, Laurent. It's doubtful Apple could afford having B&O supply them with the clickwheels! And the new iPods have different wheel functions than in the first ones. But the original iPod had a wheel that

Too bad the digital connection on the BS9000 is output only. As Stan says, you have a couple of options. The Airport Express (AE) is digitally transparent if you use its optical TOSLINK minijack output, unfortunately the BS9000 doesn't accept that signal. I would recommend buying a LAVRY DA10 stand-alone Digital-to-Analog converter. http://www.lavryengineering

Check Coolskin here for information on what cable to use. He has a Mini connected to a BV 7-40, and it took him some time to get it connected right without the black bar on the side. Turned out it was related to the choice of cable. If I remember correctly he used a 24-pin DVI cable in the end. http://www.superwarehouse.com/Belkin_10-Foot_24-Pin_DVI
