No use I'm afraid applemac1 - this is off a beocenter 2200 although is would fit the 3500/4500 and other derivatives. The 4002 has a normal small hole for the spindle and is quite a bit heavier. I have a platter which I believe to be off of a 4000 but I'm pretty sure it is different to the 4002. The one I have has a VERY thick platter which

Alternative solution to CD/tape adaptor.

Just found this on ebay USA which looks a good solution. May need some DIN/phono adaptor leads for B&O peripherals. Chris.

Yes Graeme the tweeters are just glued in, the bass & midrange have screw fixings into a plate that is also glued in. Resin & other palstics are very useful in speaker design due to the inherent sound absorbing properties so don't be at all alarmed by this. There is no possibilty of them falling out though - very well stuck Chris.
