Andy, With regards to your first point, the CNTL_X (i.e. CNTL_1 or CNTL_2 etc) are effectively macros themselves because they link to the STB menu commands. Andy, Many of the codes in the Beo5 Configuration Tool are for products no longer in general use, so the codes have been used for new functions. Your example of the coloured buttons is a good one because prior to the Beo4 there were no coloured buttons. Well, it seems your upgraded Beo4 has been upgraded with an out of date board which is a surprise. To see the latest software version displayed on the screen of the Beo4 press STANDBY and LIST simultaneously, then press MENU and GO simultaneously to see EEPROM version which on my recently purchased unit is EE 6.1 If I now press LIST I see the software

Vic, I suggest you use a 3 amp slow blow fuse which will still blow if the current exceeds 3 amps, but if it goes above the 3 amp rating for just a few milli seconds then it will not blow. You can see some examples of "Slow blow" or anti-surge mains fuses HERE

Dan, Well, the problem is that you only have table 2.1 and you will need 3.90 which supports Pace 4000 NTL and 4001 NTL To upgrade the STB controller requires the changing of one plugin chip which would take your dealer no more than 10 minutes to put in.
