Most B&O stores are independant ventures. I am not sure about the specific ones mentioned above but for the most part B&O outlets are privately owned. I actually had the chance to speak with the North American B&O representative and he said there are very few corporately owned locations out of the 52 or so locations in North America. However

...and usually if they do its just the a/v signal that needs to be amped and split by another reciever, at least in my experience. And I think that the aforementioned B&O dealer was just trying to get a few more bucks out of you, because of B&O's proprietary nature, except for this case of course. Discrepancies like that will be observed when looking at markups from independantly owned retail operations.

Well if the batteries being sold by the B&O store are getting better feedback than the radioshack batteries, then I would probably go with the B&O batteries because they are apparently more feasible than everyone previously thought.

This thread is right up my alley, how I missed it for so long is a mystery. I feel a little out of place with my piece, a 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

True but batteries can be quite specific nowadays. Especially in the rechargable segment.

I have heard of a timer function but I am very unfamiliar with it. What does the BS4500's timer funtion entail?
