Stan: beocool: The serial number can be found on the sticker in the Beo 4's battery compartment. You can tell it's age by the first two numbers: 11 - 1996 12 - 1997 13 - 1998/1999 14 - 2000 15 - 2001 16 - 2002 17 - 2003/2004 18 - 2005 19 - 2006 20 - 2007 And I'm going to guess that 00 - 2008 Since that is what my new Beo4 has. It looks like the display from a Beolink 7000 that's been mounted in a Penta speaker. Nice job.

In my personal opinion the Beolab 2 is not that well suited for use in a music system. A bit too much boom for my taste. But I can understand you feel the Beolab 6000's are a bit lacking in bass. Instead of adding a Beolab 2, I would trade in the Beolab 6000's for a pair of Beolab 3's. I think these sound absolutely wonderful. Best to listen
