Unlikely to be mechanical unless a cable is impeding the laser carriage. Suspect CD servo board?

Most everything I order for Pentas is available from B&O spares stock but at a price! Cosmetic items are common thoughout the Penta range as are the drivers. The differences are in the display and amplifiers. I doubt whether non B&O original drivers would fit in the holes/cutouts but I am prepared to be wrong on this.

I've noticed this too. The metal panels on 9000/9300/9500 series and the metal on BS9000 and the vertical stand. More of a vibration than anything. Can't explain it though unless it comes from the mains transformer??

The kit is made up of 3 pieces plus bolts etc 1 A cage to hold the beocenter and speakers together 2 a wall plate on which the above hangs 3 A pair of handles I believe that Peter is sending you a picture from the service manual. Speakerlink cables are still available from B&O. Suggest you contact your dealer.

B&O made two brackets. One to mount the Beocenter on it's own or one to mount the Beocenter with a pair of Lab 2500's. The former cost £85 and the latter cost £135. In either case the brackets that Peter refers to on Ebay were integral to both kits. I agree that the STB brackets are horrendously expensive for what they are but

If your DVD1 has a problem then you can do no more harm by cleaning the lens. Simply remove the top of the case and the lens is obvious.

I doubt you will be able to use the 6000's. They expect a volume controlled line level (ie 1volt) input which that receiver does not appear to provide.
