  • Re: Beogram 3300 adaptor for phone amp

To be honest I would look out for a CD3300 on ebay, they do come along quite regularly (and well priced, normally less than £100) and I have yet to come across a non working one, they seem fairly bullet proof. The advantage of this is you'll be able to control it remotely using either a terminal 3300 or a beolink 1000. Any other CD player

  • Re: Aux link problem?

Yep - me too, I made my own datalink cable to connect my MX5500 to BM7000 and had this problem. I bought a B&O datalink item and it solved it. I thought I may just get away with the inferior shielding of my own cable but - alas - no. Chris.

  • Re: Lifelong Pursuit of the perfect Hi-fi

For me the pursuit of perfection over taking time to actually enjoy music seems a tad pointless. I'm quite happy to just throw whatever I fancy listening to onto whatever bit of B&O I feel like playing it on and sitting back with a nice cold beer to enjoy it. I know B&O isn't the highest grade hi-fi money can buy but boy it looks good

  • Re: Beolab Pentas Mod 6621

Not usual for multi voltage option to be included on USA market equipment for some reason, mainly Europe, but this isn't to say yours won't have this. It could also be the case that someone has rewired the transformer to run at 110V as I believe this is possible but not 100% certain. Welcome to Beoworld Chris.

  • Re: 4004 - 2 Issues (Warble & Distortion)

I would certainly wait until the new belts are fitted before going any further than simple investigations. One small point - the recommended tracking weight for the MMC20EN is 1.2g not 1.0 (this was for the MMC20CL), assuming it is an original B&O item then you may need to up it a little as it will be quite aged by now. The cartridge suspension

tyres: Arghh, it wasn't some time back, was it? I was looking at the guy's join-date! Colin We live and learn Colin Look on the bright side though - you won't risk the chance of misplacing the datalink pins, Chris.

  • Re: What is the point of link TVs

Most of the later and certainly the latest B&O TV's are capable of being linked to other B&O media. There are too many different options to list in one reply. They allow the playing of music etc.... through the speakers connected to your TV. EG:- you may decide on some (quite costly) beolab active speakers as part of a surround sound system

Hi & welcome to Beoworld Yes, they are available from any decent electrical suppliers such as Maplin (in the UK). You will probably only be able to source a 5 pin DIN to phono cable which will require the removal of pins 1 & 7 from your Beogram output cable - these simply unscrew. Take care not to lose these as they carry the datalink information
