Alex: With exactly the same music recorded at the correct bit-rate (we don't even know what bitrate the music currently on the BeoSound 5s is). Lossless! So I don't see any trouble to compare

From my observations there is nothing particularly special about this audio cicuit which uses off the shelf components to provide the required solution. Oh In other words......it's just a fancy display with a premium price! Why on earth don't they use audiofile components!!!!! And i was told that the sound chip was a custom built one??

How is the sound (bs-5) compared to a beosound 9000?

The soundquality of BeoPort + laptop is NOT good even with a high- end soundcard,with the bs5 the sound is much,much better!

Keith Saunders: The details of the sound processing needs further investigation, there is a sound processor on the motherboard, but if it is used I cannot say. However the connections to the B&O module from the motherboard do not help us and I will need to have a much closer look at this module in the coming weeks. Below is a picture of the connections

Als je ript met een ander rip programma en je wilt in beoplayer artist,genre etc invullen dan is dat niet mogelijk! p.s Ik gebruik het beste rip programma dat er is = exactaudiocopy= gratis te downloaden.

moxxey: Alex: I would vote number 1, but spending £3700 on a hifi seems a little excessive as a.... As a consumer Alex. Wait until you start earning. £3700 is a lot for anyone earning even £50,000 a year, particularly for a digital media player. It's hardly a 'hifi'. Absolute!!!!
