  • Re: Beocord 5000 Cuts Out After Short Play

If you can find nothing apparent with the transport mechanism, then I would turn to drivers/supply to the transport motors. The fact that you have 13 volts across the motors may be find, but what current is it drawing ?

  • Re: Missing / intermittently available sources in BeoPort

Michael, You cannot change the polling time, in fact it is less polling and more handshake. It puts a request out on the Masterlink for control of the bus and the device currently in control of the bus sends a signal to give it up and your Beoport is not getting these signals. I suggest that you disconnect the the Masterlink at the point of the first

  • Re: Missing / intermittently available sources in BeoPort

When you boot your PC and the Beoport software start, one of the first things the software does is send a signal from the Beoport box onto the Masterlink requesting and detecting products available, if there is time-out, then the Beoport assumes there are no sources available. In other words if your Masterlink is locked up (software wise) or you have

  • Re: BeoMedia - Netradio and BBC

The reason you cannot get "Radio 4 UK Only" outside the UK is not a technical issue, its a legal one. Because the BBC in the UK is funded by the licence payer, it is not allowed to be broadcast outside the UK by the BBC, a third party can re-broadcast it as happens for example on satellite. The same happens if you go to the BBC web site, in

  • Re: Retrofit BeoVision 3 32" RF Modulator

The RF Modulator is Type 4160 for the UK or 4155 for the rest of Europe. The RF Modulator is module 63 in the Beovision 3 and the UK part number is 8000873 for PAL I Given that the Latest version of the Beovision 3-32 was released around August 2003 and B&O provides spares for 10 years after last shipment, I can see no reason why you cannot get

  • Re: DVD2

You say that GuidePlus is not relevant to the UK, but it is, and it supports all the UK major TV stations. A full list can be viewed HERE On pages 52 to 54 of the user guide it provides the setup instructions for GuidePlus, the GuidePlus Menu should only appear when requested. When the Guide comes up does it show channel information or is it just blank

  • Re: Problem with IR receivers (Ouverture and LC2)

Hagen, Lets stay focused on the LC2 because you moved it to another room and it has gone from not working at all to nearly 100% working, so unless you are particularly unlucky and it has an intermittent problem and moving it has made it work again, then we can assume it is some kind of interference. It is also interesting to note that the sensitivity

  • Re: Beocord 5000 Cuts Out After Short Play

A lot of B&O products will go into "Standby" if there is any kind of power supply issue with a view of protecting the unit itself. The fact that both units went to "Standby" means an actual "Standby" signal was sent as if you had switched it off from the remote. I am assuming that the Beomaster works fine if the Beocord

  • Re: NA mx5000 brightness

Well, certainly because of the nature of the problem any good TV repair shop should be able to deal with the problem given you have the Service manual etc. It is certainly worth getting it fixed because these are good TV's, but as always its a cost of repair against replacement which only you can really decide.
