soundproof: Pioneer is discontinuing 42" plasmas, and is focusing on 50" and up in sizes, as that's where the market wants to go .. Are you sure the 'market' demands the larger size? My 40" looks HUGE in my reasonably large sitting room. My mother was discussing a new TV at the weekend and only wants something up to a 32"

The Beonic Man: I beg to differ Jack. I bought an Avant 32 RF DVD (not your preference I know) for my Mum about a year ago, I then bought a 7-40 later in the year for myself. Its the latest version, the Mark III and the picture quality when it displays a high quality digital signal or an HD signal leaves the Avant behind by miles.. Simon, I'm past

Peter : The BV7 just doesn't do it for me though the choice of speaker does make a difference. However I will always buy a B&O set simply because of the superb integration. I think people either absolutely adore or hate the BV7. Some people can't understand why the BL7 is wider than the TV and comment that they've seen a vertical speaker

Munin: About BS5 ... is it true that it is audio-only? Yes, but then I thought about this the other day. Clearly B&O aren't going to produce their own iTunes Store, therefore there's no easy way for them to get videos to the BS5 (which I thought was going to be a BeoMaster?). Ideally it would be good if a user could simply insert a DVD movie

GuyHui : Do you think something can be done between Apple and B&O, "software" speaking in a close future ? A partnership that may be different from the one concerning Samsung ? Wozniak has absolutely nothing (apart from earning a royalty payment) to do with Apple, he just makes comments on his past, separate from any Apple business. Can

355f: I can understand why an individual would buy the BV7- its more compact dimensions suit most situations and it dles look rather nice- with a motorised stand. The materials used give the impression of quality and if one wants to pay £7K for that fair enough. However, to call this LCD with a pretty poor samsung panel -'high tech' is

The Beonic Man: I am glad you posted about this because I noticed this clunking sound immediately in the dealer in my early days of looking at B&O sets. I do agree that most, if not all the BV7s I have seen do it. However, my one actually does not for some reason. I have double checked this before posting and it is perfectly quiet all the time.

No, it will be sw 3.5. v4 was only shipped late Jan, so your TV shipped with the latest sw at the time it was manufactured. Very confused how you state it has a date of October 2006 though. You don't need sw 4 unless you notice an issue with your TV. I'd hold on and wait for a future sw update before getting your TV updated - it's a 2 hour

a2bur: I have paid for a NEW Bv7-40 Mk 111 , I'm always a bit suspicious if you get the latest model , must be tempting to shift old stock first and what would a dealer do with it if they didn't . There are some marks on the stand mount face , I can see this face as I haven't got a stand attached , it's on some service legs that go into
