Hi Puncher - no I'm not going this time around but really wish I was I fully expect a candid pictorial report from our intrepid anthologer jandyt though. Chris.
-
No prob's, I try not to remove mine if possible as they are very prone to breaking on the clips and are a bit of a pain to get back on properly. Glad they are fine. Chis.
-
You need to carefullyly prise them sideways & slightly forwards between the fret & the copper coloured trim starting from the display area and working up for the top frets - vice versa for the lower ones. I use a blunt kitchen/butter knife to do mine. Chris.

I would say $100's rather than $1000's. Chris.

Hi maggieB and welcome to beoworld The quick answer is don't bother getting it retipped, it is very expensive to do and will have no gaurantees as to the state of the internals of the cartridge. The suspension on this will have deteriorated over the years leaving it prone to failure. Easily the best bet is to buy a new item from soundsmith here

Hard to say without hearing it 1st hand Colin. It could be the cartridge simply has a build up of fluff on it! Or the cartridge is worn or tracking weight set incorrectly - or as you mentioned, the LP's themselves. Chris.

You can scan using the << >> buttons. Chris.

Very nice Henry I have to admit it looks better in the home than in the shop where it didn't really light my fire. chris.

Hi Mike & welcome to Beoworld 1. It sounds as though the cords which open & close the lids have come off the pulleys or the mechanism need freeing. Really quite difficult to work on if you don't know what you're doing. Graham our resident expert on these beocenters (member joeyboygolf ) will confirm this and will probably give you better

Happy Birthday Lee! from all of us in your home county Chris.
