Beoworld is for "Everything Bang & Olufsen" and Beoworld really does cover a wide range of B&O's product suite but still there are things that rarely - if ever - gets any mentioning here. Mainly the vintage things, it seems, so I would like to grab this opportunity and test the waters for interest; Having the Grand Prix 609 and

It's the electrolytic capacitors in general. The ones in the preamp, obviously, but also in the amplifier section and power supply. I am not saying that it will make it sound better then the ones you compare it to but it has been a long time since the last time I saw a Beomaster (of any type, really) with good original caps and many owners are surprised

Grab a cap kit and replace the lot ... Martin

I agree with Chris. Still, I noticed that you dealt with the photosensor in another thread and I can't help thinking that you may have caused a wire to break off when you had the black plastic carriage cover off. Martin

Today, just for fun, I did a little setup. Unfortunately, it ended up showing the limits of the microphones and kitchen acoustics rather than the capabilities of the Grand Prix but still I managed to catch a little bit of stereo that I would like to share with you. http://users.cybercity.dk/~dsl42943/Lyd01.mp3 Martin

I actually already told you that I can supply belts. They are available as a set and instructions with text and photos can be included. Your deck must be the three belt version so there's one more belt that you haven't found yet (not the one for the motorized lid). One or more belts are custom produced to size, elasticity and friction so I cannot

Thanks. Yes, Grundig made wonderful valve sets. Some are quite advanced indeed, I especially like the equalizer function on this one. Quite extraordinary for a valve set. They also made "remote controlled" valved sets - cable control that is - but still putting a distance between them and most other radio producers. - The Grand Prix was brought
