It might be an idea to just remove the relay then while looking for a replacement. It doesn't break the signal path when operating, it just shortcircuits the signal to ground - so removing it will just make the Beogram operate like turntables from other brands!

Welcome from me as well! The DIN-RCA adapter you have has four RCA connectors, as the DIN connection is able to carry signals both in & out (for connecting a tape recorder, for example). Colours vary, so it is impossible to say which two might be the correct L+R inputs for your iPod, but it doesn't hurt anything to just try them all until you

The MCP may be a little suboptimal "teacher" in practice as it obviously sends the two-way versions of the commands and therefore the Beomaster will send replies back.
