Unfortunately you did not give much information about the type of your MX4000 and the setup of your system. It seems, you have set the option for extenal speakers = "PL sockets" to "ON". If no speakers are conneted set "PL" to "OFF" and "Sound 3" will not be any longer the default setting. If there are
I doubt all 5 cables to the speakers (2xBL8000, 2xBL6000, 1xCanton sub) are faulty. I have tried to detach each of them separately to see if it makes a difference, but no.
The ground/shield of all PL-Cables are connected to the DSS module and "come together" internally. So, if just one cable, plug or
... how do i tell if my pstn is the GB version?
Only a B&O service technician can change the firmware/software (different from country to country) of a base station & handheld unit(s) cause you need tools/cables. Strongly recommended: update the whole set to the same SW version.
... my BS5 had to be updated this time manually. The update before it did automaticly ...
I assume, BnO learned from the last update disaster(s) NOT immediately triggering the automatic "push" update . I guess, they are monitoring the feedback (also on this site) and reactions of "power-users"
Runnig the cable behind the baseboard is an excellent solution as long you can detach the skirting easily. As an alternative, a skilled B&O installer should be able to cut/carve/scratch a "dent"

Is there an antenna socket on the wall where your BSd 9000 is located? There also shoud be a distribution "point" for all areal cables. Sometimes the diameter of the cable conduit is sufficient for a 2nd cable (e.g. if inner diameter of the tube ~ 20mm). If 3 times "yes" >> try to pull the ML in parallel to the antenna cable
Any idea's please...?
More details about your B&O TV and the rest of your config, please!
So I have to cut the ML-Cable in two, and then insert a ML-Junction box between them?
Recommended if you are connecting only two components and necessary if you want to distribute the sound to other rooms (when connecting PIN3 and 12 is mandatory).
Why
