http://www.engadget.com/2011/03/26/scientists-improve-blue-oled-efficiency-dont-promise-everlasti/ Apparently we've still got a ways to go.

I don't think that color deterioration will be an unknown. It never really was with Plasmas, it just wasn't advertised (for obvious reasons). The savvy consumer could easily tell what the fundamental strengths and weaknesses of the products were. Possibly another reason to to charge ahead with larger OLEDs. To this day I have people who are

As an electronics guy I'm excited to see OLED grow up and infiltrate the full spectrum of sizes, but as a salesperson, I'm all too familiar with the barriers that a technology like this presents. I started selling B&O about a year or two before the BeoVision 4 came out. This was right as Philips was advertising their wall-mounted 42"

Off the thread topic, but related to Electrified's comment: We're in the process of building out a master suite with a projector where the gear is practically invisible, including the speakers. The projector drops from a lift, the screen drops from a pocket, and the speakers are flush mount Sonance Architectural which have no flange or reveal

And I would also now be in a position to buy the rights from Peter Marks for his acoustic lens implants. Ooops, I let that one

I don't know where else to post this, but I hurried home from a long day at work to enjoy a few minutes with the Peter Marks thread. At first I was enchanted that the thread had grown to 6 pages, and then devastated to see that it had been locked and Mr. Marks banned. BeoWorld, and syntax, lost a shining star today.
-
Lee! Please! I implore you to see reason. Mr. Marks is clearly a valued contributor with a Joycean gift with language. I ask that you leave him in peace to do his good work. I'm also worried about your safety, as your banning him will almost certainly be "registered."
...free lifetime upgrades...
LIFETIME??? ONLY LIFETIME??? WHAT ARE MY GRANDCHILDREN SUPPOSED TO DO? ANOTHER DISAPPOINTMENT FROM BANG. THEY SHOULD JUST LET APPLE BUY THEM ALREADY.

I've never had this much fun reading a BeoWorld thread EVER. This guy's my favorite poster now. My approval is LODGED.
