Thanks Dave, then I've clearly got a problem! I have my DVD1 connected to my Beovision 3. The DVD1 has been unplgged for a while and today I plugged it back in again and inserted a dvd. As normal the DVD1 appeared to be reading the disc and then displayed 000, however that's all it does! I can eject from the front panel but pressing 'play'

Can someone tell me please, if the DVD 1 is not connected by scart to a B&O TV, whether:- 1. It can be operated from its front panel controls and/or 2. Operated via the Beo 4 Thanks

So that's clearly not the case. AppleTV is not the worst product out there by any means, but has too many limiting factors to be the primary music (or media) device for discriminating consumers. You're free to assemble a better argument, but with all the stated merits of this little box over 3 pages its value has yet to be established for anyone

Perhaps I may not have explained properly. I'm talking about the sockets on the Digibox , not the Beovision. Only one of the Pace sockets facilitates pin 8 format control and that is the one marked 'TV'. I had my lead from the Beovision plugged into the other one on the Pace box (VCR?) and automatic format switch didn't happen because

I had the same 'problem' for a long time and to my extreme embarrassment I discovered that I had the TV connected to the wrong scart socket on the Digibox. Only one of the two sockets has pin 8 control (which changes picture formats), so a change from one to the other fixed it! I think the sockets are marked TV & Videotape or something similar
Thanks, P-and-P on my remote, works fine. There is only one tuner. You can use HDMI A and C or D or B and C or D. All other connections can be used to....
For my benefit therefore, if there is only one tuner, from where does it get the second picture source?
-
Interesting Peter. Can you tell me where the second picture is sourced from? Does this TV have 2 tuners or does the second picture have to be obtained from from an external source such as a satellite box?
-
I have seen a Beovision 3 for sale (broken!) together with the castor stand for this model. The stand has an curved aluminium cover (door?) behind which are the shelves for the DVD, satellite box or whatever which are then hidden by the cover. My question is about this aluminium cover. Was this added later by B&O to the design of the stand or was

Thanks for that Kevin. Always fascinating to see others' equipment and settings. Particularly interesting to observe B&O products coupled with glass, a steam locomotive and ceramic Indian elephants! Certainly different.

Can't answer your query and I'd be interested to know also, but viewing the video I can't help thinking what were the intentions of its maker. It's poorly shot and totally devoid of any information! A waste of time.
