Hi, Only 4 wires plus screen are required for mark 3 cable (left and right audio, voltage reference and mute) plus screening conductor. The fifth wire referred above to is the screen/audio ground. Best regards, Steve.

Hi, Gerd is correct, although I would always recommend that if you still have the original mark 1 cables (VERY thin, c.2mm diameter) then when you replace your speakers, this is a good time to go for some new mark 3 cables anyway. The mark 1 cables are not the most robust option and if you are burying your cables in walls or ceilings, mark 2 or 3 cables

Hi Daniel, Yes, that is the safe way to do it! Steve.

Thanks Dave, That is a good solution, which I will suggest to my customers in future. Best regards, Steve.

Maybe I am too careful, but based on experience, I would always suggest the following advice:- 1) Switch off and unplug ALL Masterlink devices first. 2) Unplug the section of ML cable that you wish to cut from the network at both ends if possible. 3) Cut the cable and then strip back around

If all else fails, you may wish to use the following alternative

No problem Mark! Best regards, Steve.

Hi Guys, Thanks for the kind words, let's save the directional cables debate for another day! I'm just in the process of deciding whether to get another batch of the Beogram shelves made up, as I had about 25 eBay watchers when the last one sold recently, but not enough serious enquiries to make the outlay worthwhile. However, if a few BeoWorlders

I read today that you can (for a mere $99 US) give your house plants access to your Twitter.com account, so that they can "tweet" you when they feel thirsty and need some water (or a chat?) That's why no-one reads their emails any more, they're too busy talking to their Delphiniums online Steve. (suddenly old at 35!)
