Its pretty straight forward. It depends a bit on what year the AV9000 is. This can be located by pulling of the cover to the center speaker. There is a label saying the year. The later version like IT with Beo4 takes the 1611 converters and the early AV9000 takes the 1610 converter. Once you know which converter its AV9000 to converter to Beosystem

[quote user="DrewSavage"] [quote user="Friedmett"] If the DVD1 aint connected by scart it will not work with a Beolink remote. The remote signal comes from the Beovision to the DVD1 or whatever is connected. Its funny when you look at ads for dvd1 and people asking if the remote is included. The answer is no as DVD1 is controlled

I'm the happy owner of S80.2 and S120 in white. Renovated by Dillen. I'm listning to S80.2 on a daily basis connected to my Beomaster 6500. Even now the radio is on and they play wonderfull in the background. They are well balanced but bass could be more present. Basically I use flat level but with bass on 1 it evens out a bit but sometimes

No there is no other use for the MPAV9000 than a Beovison AV9000. The flagship of the '90s but today it still is with some trouble. MPAV9000 can't be used in any other setups at all. Beovision AV9000 on its own is like the MX series in a way but with out the surround the same kind of value. I have a '98 IMP AV9000 but I use a Beosystem 6500

[quote user="joff135"] I don't know if my 5500 system counts as Classic Audio? My parents gave it to me last year when they up-graded to a new B & O system...but the CD 5500 needs fixing (well...hopefully i can get it fixed...the Bristol dealer told my parents that the laser had 'gone' and the unit was now deceased!). ...UPDATE

As far as I can figure it out its software upgrades and minor flaws corrected. The latest 2047 is the X-tra speaker kit that came out around 1990.

The other way is the rare IR control kit which changes the codes to be used with a Beolink 1000.

Well you do acording to what the B&O manual for 1989 says. If it works straight away I can't say but try it. I do not have a early BM5500 but you don't loose out testing it allready. If the test says it works great please tell us about it. If not you will need the software update. Ask your B&O dealer if it still can be done. It was still
