This excellent and much used feature can be activated by pressing source>list>AV>source but it seems that ever more button pressing is required! On my LX its picture>mute. Simple. Anyone know why B&O did not make the Avant respond to this BL1000 command or indeed the newer Beo4 P.Mute? Teletext commands are also changed so the BL1000's

Anyone know the part number for the Avant mounting shelf for the V8000? I already have a sat reciever on the lower rear of the TV. I seem to remember there is a shelf for the top. Avant is a MK2 if it makes any difference. Thanks David

Keith, As Nobby says I need to get used to switching it manually! This, and the fact that on-screen status displays are not used (I can't see the red one on the top) are the only faults with an otherwise hugely impressive TV. Regards David

Thanks Keith - Mine is type 8453 so it seems I can't. I can see nothing in the service menu relating to the STB. Can the software be updated to do this? David

Agree with Simon but if you value using the B&O remote rather than a cheap plastic thing with lots of tiny buttons then go for it! Earlier versions can be a bit flakey with recordable discs but otherwise sound and picture quality is very good. I would get one of the later versions 2004 on. £295 is a bit steep but when you consider the original

I have BL1000 and Beo4 so no remote problems. Thanks David

My DVD1 is no longer responding to commands via my LX5500. I does work fine using the buttons on the front of the DVD player. I checked the scart leads and found no problems. I use an AVX1 expander and there is no problem with that. I use CDV for the DVD1 but have also tried VTape2 and all scart sockets and nothing happens. Any suggestions? David
