  • Re: Youe favourite pieces from 1980 - 1989

Hi there I would say the beocenter 9000 with Beogram 9000 and some Redlines, but they do not really look that retro IMO. What about a full beosystem 8000/6000 with some Uniphase speakers? Now that is retro! br Christian

  • Re: need Help with Pentas III active, use as passiv possible?

Yep, that is possible, you can detatch the amp (at the bottom of the speaker) from the rest of the speaker and connect the two binding-posts to a normal (and powerfull) amp if you wish. The bottom plate (feet) should work fine with the amp off too. But why would you want that, if I may ask? br Chr

  • Re: Beocenter 7700 & Beolab 8000

I cant find it in this asessory table ( http://www.beoworld.org/beotech/accessories99contents.htm) but try and ask your dealer, if he says there is no such think, just try another dealer, not all dealers are interested in just selling small asessories, they want to sell you a new beocenter instead of your 7700 (which is a great beocenter by the way

"Isn't there a circuit (box) available from b&o that takes speakerlink down to line voltage?" I think so, that was what I was offered at a b&o dealer once. That should do the trick, and also nice to know it is approved/made by B&O. br Chr

  • Re: MX4000 Bent graphics

Hi there I got the same problem with my MX6000 mkII, a white banner in the bottom of the screen (often used on DR1 and 2) is always bent inwards. Also, then the lighting change (eg a flash at a news conference), the picture sort of jumps, expanding and then extracting again, all just in the flick of a monemt, but it can be anoying. so, what can we do

  • Re: Beocenter 7700 & Beolab 8000

It should be possible, I have tried taking the signal out via the headphone output on my ouverture and it worked, although there was quite a bit more noise than when using powerlink. Somethink to do with the resistance of headphones compared to a audioinput on a amp/speaker?? best regards Christian

  • Re: Beocenter 7700 & Beolab 8000

I suppose it should be possible, using some sort of resistor between the speaker output of the 7700 and the RCA in on the beolabs, try and ask your dealer if it is possible, i think they got a cable all made up with resistor and all. I know, I was once offered one by my dealer in Lyngby, Denmark. best regards Chr
