No 120v present so will investigate on the lower board under the polished panel. Any further help would be appreciated. Die_Bogener has told me that there are some transistors and a couple of diodes associated with the inverter which will need looking at.

I have a Beolink 7000 remote which appears to work now that I have replaced the battery pack. I say appears to work because the blue light is out on the upper display/keyboard. The legends can just be seen on careful inspection and the remote seems to function as it should. Anyone help?

If that is chased into an existing wall, with trunking over, replastered and decorated to match existing then £300 is cheap!
