Hi Jari, I might be wrong, but in order to have both input and output in stereo, should it not be the 7 pin DIN? The VCR should be compatible with any Beomaster as if it was just another tape deck. Curious as to where you got the impression that it was a Hitachi based VCR, I thought that was the V3000? 7 pin DIN Datalink wiring can be found HERE. Andy
I have tried to run the configuration guide
This is the result I got for you. The optiions seem correct but check the menu on the Avant, and make sure you have used the Audio Aux link on the converter, and not the powerlink. ************************* VIDEO SYSTEM SETUP ************************** BeoVision Avant

Great setup Claes! I bet it seems quite hard to imagine it without the 8000s now.
Daisy chain
If you do daisychain them as Dave suggests, I'm not sure if the 3s or the 8000s have two powerlink sockets, you might need a splitter.

I agree, and what nice photo's Ev! I just tidied up a pair of S30s to give to my scouse friend. I used Barkeepers Friend on the aluiminium strips, came up a treat, and had no effect on the rosewood.
