The new audio product can be used as a plug & play (compared to the more complex BS5/BM5 combo where you need to upload music to the BM5 before/while using it) system out of the box. You can dock your iPod. This is one usage, the other is as a link room system for remote control of the BS5 in the main room. Expect a relase in Q4/2009 and a price

You can not go wrong with any of them. The mkI was the only 720p version, but as most stuff transmitted still is 720p or 1080i the need for the later 1080p can be debated. With the mkII came the 1080p panel in June 2007 (type no 9720-9730). They both came standard with the HDR-2 and the BeoMedia 1 was an option. In March 2008 came the mkIII (type no

There is a lifecycle to every B&O product, and the BS9000 has completed it - but so has the (even older) BL6k, BL8k and the BS3200 (updated, but introduced in -91). Best: 1) Serenata, 2) BL 5, 3) BV9 Worst: 1) BeoMedia 1, 2)V8000 Roger

Just out of curiosity: "Currently own BV 7-40 with 7.4 and BL 9. I will switch the 7.4 for a 7.2 and the MKII panel for a MK III that I can get a good deal on from my dealership." Why would you swap the ALT center speaker for a none-ALT speaker when used with ALT main speakers? Roger

I have a similar plan downstairs - how do the BL3´s blend with the BV8´s speaker? Roger

The s/w update scheduled for this Summer (read: later this year ) will make it possible for the user to let the N.RADIO of the BS5 respond to the RADIO-button on the Beo4. Before the Beo5 was launched we were aware of the fact that the Beo4 was about to be discontinued, and replaced by a simpler remote. But quite a few thought that dropping the Beo4

Ray, Tried to look it up through B&O, but couldn't find any similar reports. I would ask the dealer to check it out! Roger

" If we can do something mutually beneficial to both Bang & Olufsen as a brand and also to BeoWorld, i can see no real harm - but as ever, i will be guided by the members and moderating team. Without the members, the site would be nothing - so your views count." I remember the very same discussion on a car-fan site a few years ago, but
