Nice work. We've generally had a lot of talk about replacing capacitors here on Beoworld but, as you suggest by stating that some owners claim their old Beogram is still doing fine, maybe it would be interesting for the readers, and those owners in particular, to know a little more about the background and motivation for replacing those caps, like

Nimski, Welcome to Beoworld ! Sounds like you have the older version of Beogram 1500 with the round tonearm. If that is indeed the case, you will need a cartridge of the SP type (rather than the MMC type). The speed selector and fine adjustments will need cleaning and fresh lubrication. Martin

For repairs to the broken front grill pins, I've seen wooden dovel pegs used instead. Remains of the old pins removed and ground down, dovel pegs glued to the grills and painted black. Worked fine. Martin

Check for cracked solder joints at the regulators. Martin

The motor is a two-speed type if I remember correctly and there are two different versions of motor supply circuit, one of which has a dedicated fuse for the motor. Check for cracked solder joints on the regulator board, particularly at the large connector for the mechanical section and the ribbon cable connectors at the edge of the board. Easy to do

If you replace the transformer, don't forget to check the mains voltage setting too. Martin
